slowfashionoctober

Slowfashion (-october)  means to me to made a lot of clothes for my kids' autumn- and winterwardrobe by myself or buy on fleamarket, secondhand and so on. ! For the selfmade clothes I try to use only fabrics and yarn from my stash!
I think I bought in 2016 only one time a few jerseyfabric and maybe 2 or 3 times yarn for special projects! Thats really, really less than the past years. Let's see how long I will need until I empty my stash;-)

 2.The ENIECARDIGANS (also in testknittingphase) and the ELSASWEATERS. Love to make same clothes in different colours for them.

 4. Some really nice stuff fromlocal fleamarket (the minti corduroy dress is handmade and cost only 2 Euros).

 5. Made a quicksew dress with a more than 15 years old stashfabric. Just add a skirtpart to a memade shirtpattern....

switch - kidsroom - bedroom

The girls have now a bigger room and we moved in a tiny sleeping room, but I'm really happy with the result: less toys in the living room, no need to store toys and clothes in our closet, everything has a home in the room where it should belong. 

It's a challenge to live in a 100m² apartment which not much extra storage room, especially when you are a maker and hoarding lots of handcraft stuff (like fabrics, yarn, buttons, papers and so on). By the way , my husband is also very good in hoarding things, media stuff like comics, dvd's and so on;-)

 

 We kept the blue wall in the girls room for our bedroom and it matches with our cupboards very well. 

Really like the bluw together with the palepink and the brass, the wood  and the white.

On the last 2 pics you can see the chaos which we had here for 2 days while painting and rearranging.

driftwood henley sweater , pattern from owlsisters you can find here  It's a seamless sweater knitted from top to down! I changed it a little, cause I don't like to knit the sleeves with 5 needles.

the project I sarted last winter and will be finish hopefully for this winterseason. You see I'm not that much into knittting as into crocheting!

The yarn I use is: LANG YARNS CASHMERE TWEED ! It's really soft and cozy, but looks also a bit irregular, not sure yet if I really like that effect....

Heute habe ich

1. angefangen ein Sitzkissen aus Jerseystreifen zu häkeln für unsere Vitra Eames Side Chairs

2. mein Adressbuch mit Washitape verschönert

3. Pfifferlingrisotto gekocht.

Die COUCH die ihr auf Bild 2 seht ist übrigens mein Lieblingsmagazin! Ein toller Mix aus Wohnen und Fashion, tolle Fotoberichte von individuellen Wohnungen, DIY-Ideen, erschwingliche Möbel, Dekokram und Klamotten. I like !!!

colourful chaos

Heute morgen überlegt ob ich einen Teppich aus Jerseyresten mache. Häkeln oder flechten und nähen war die Frage... Hab erstmal den Stoffschrank ausgeräumt, die kleine Madame hat ordentlich beim Chaos machen geholfen. Als ich dann den camelfarbenen Jersey in der Hand hielt entschied ich mich doch lieber nur etwas zu nähen was schnell geht. Daraus geworden ist ein schöner Sommer Loop in Camel!
Ob und wann ich mal einen Teppich (oder wenigstens kleine Fussmatten) mache, bleibt offen...
Ich hab einach zu viele Projekte im Kopf die darauf warten angegangen zu werden:
 Stühle abschleifen und neonfarben lackieren, Wand im Flur streichen usw. ...
Hätte der Tag nur 48 Stunden!

puzzle ball

In den letzten Tagen habe ich nicht sehr viel Zeit zum häkeln gehabt. Bei dem schönen Wetter mußte ich mich im Garten austoben, habe Tomaten und Kräuter gesäht bzw gepflanzt. Bin gespannt auf meine erste eigene Ernte! Abends habe ich dann nur noch den Amish Puzzle Ball fertig gehäkelt....

Ich habe mich entschieden aus den Circles einen Bezug für eine große Schaumstoffrolle zu machen. 

Insgesamt brauche ich 49 Grannys. 24 Stück sind schon aneinandergehäkelt, die restlichen Circles sind fertig müssen nur noch umrandet werden...

circle granny squares

Ich habe begonnen Circle Granny Squares aus meinen Baumwollgarnvorräten, hauptsächlich Lang Yarns Twin , zu häkeln. Ich denke mir gefällt die Farbkombi ziemlich gut.

PINK, BLUE, LIME, ORANGE, BLACK-WHITE, PURPLE and YELLOW. Als Umrandung nehme ich
 wahrscheinlich CAMEL, das gibt etwas mehr Ruhe und lässt die Squares nicht ganz so bunt wirken.

my first granny love blanket

Wiederendeckt: meine erste große Granny Decke ist wieder aufgetaucht. Ich muss etwa 12 oder 13 gewesen sein, als ich sie gehäkelt habe. Klar, heute würde ich sie nicht nochmal so machen, aber ich mag sie trotzdem sehr. Die Garne sind alle unterschiedlich, Polyacryl, Wolle, Baumwolle. Ich kann mich noch ganz genau erinnnern wie ich an ihr gearbeitet hab....eine schöne Erinnerung!
Passt doch super ins Kinderzimmer.
